Better Kid Care - Penn State Cooperative Extension's Better Kid Care Program provides educational materials and resources, satellite broadcasts, videos, and educational activities for child care providers, parents, and employers. For more information visit www.betterkidcare.psu.edu
Child Care Aware - A national initiative that helps parents and providers find their local child care resource and referral agency (CCR&R). Council for Early Childhood Professional Recognition - The council works to improve the professional status of early childhood workers and helps to meet the growing need for qualified child care staff. For more information visit www.cdacouncil.org
ECELS - A program responsible for all health and safety training and technical assistance in Pennsylvania, the PA Chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics (PA AAP) has operated the Early Childhood Linkage System (ECELS). Known as Healthy Child Care Pennsylvania, ECELS provides health professional consultation, training, and technical assistance to improve early childhood education programs in the Commonwealth. Early Head Start National Resource Center - The EHS NRC works in partnership with the Infant/Toddler Specialists at the regionally based Quality improvement Centers (QIC's) to ensure that Early Head Start programs have information and training on "best practices" on a range of topics. National Association for Family Child Care - NAFCC's focus is to provide technical assistance to family child care associations. This assistance is provided through developing leadership and professionalism, addressing issues of diversity, and by promoting quality and professionalism through NAFCC's Family Child Care Accreditation. PA Pathways PA Child Care/Early Childhood Development Training System (PA CC/ECD) - PA's training system provides training for child care providers statewide through locally based training organizations. Central Susquehanna Intermediate Unit - The Central Susquehanna Intermediate Unit offers services that an individual school or organization may not be able to conduct as economically.
